Featuring An Article in Joomla 1.6

Traditionally in Joomla, featured articles have been articles that appear on the front page of your website. In Joomla 1.6, front page articles have been re-named Featured Articles. This makes much more sense because you may not always want to feature particular articles on the front page. This method gives you much more control on how and where you may feature particular articles.

To manage featured articles, click Content and then Featured Articles.

The following screen displays a list of articles, and many options to manage them.

From here, an articles publication status can be toggled on or off, articles can be re-ordered in appearance within their section, archives, or deleted.

New articles can also be created from this page by clicking the New button which is situated towards the top right of the screen.
